This contrasting white merino and black tencel silk felted scarf will add a touch of sophistication to your winter outfit. The stripes of the combined tones resembles the veins of smooth gray river stones. But unlike stone, this scarf is incredibly soft and cozy. The black tencel silk fibers create a unique texture and sheen on top of the white merino base.
I wet felted this scarf into a cobweb style. Cobweb scarves are ethereally light, with some sections of the scarf being so thin you can see through them; but like their spidery inspiration they are among the most durable and strong scarves out there.
This particular piece measures about 36 inches long and is about 5-7 inches wide. Please note that each scarf is hand felted and may vary slightly in width, thickness and hole placement/amount.
This is a one of a kind scarf, and was created using a wet felting technique. Wet felting is one of several methods which can produce felt from wool or other animal fibers.
One of the many benefits of a wool piece is that wool naturally repels dirt, allowing it to remain clean with very limited interventions by its owner. If you should need to clean your piece I recommend hand washing with cool water and a mild detergent. Rinse well and dry by rolling first in a towel (to absorb excess water), and then let the piece lay flat to air dry. If you really need the piece quickly, you can iron the scarf on the silk setting of an iron.
Wool is a fantastic fiber and is prized for its ability to regulate your temperature during all seasons. Silk is also an extremely breathable material and so all of my wool and silk scarves are specifically designed to keep you warm in the winter and autumn, cool in the spring and summer and stylish all year long.
Created in a smoke free, pet friendly environment.
